After going a couple of weeks without writing, I figure it’s time for a bit of a life update.
I really don’t know where time has gone. How is it March already? How have I already been in New Zealand for OVER three months?
I say this every year, but as you get older, time seems to go by quicker and quicker.
It’s been a few weeks since I have had time to blog, and that’s because I finally got a job!!! It took me almost four weeks to find a job (blog post coming soon) but I finally found one!
I got a job as a Temp at the University, so it essentially means that I cover positions for short or long term. You get assigned assignments and they could be two days long or six months long.
My first assignment is a receptionist at the Technical Services Lab at the School of dentistry. It’s only a 4 hour shift a day, but it’s getting my foot in the door, and putting money in my bank account.
After just three days of work I was approached by my boss, and he asked me if I would be interested in working full time as another position unexpectedly had to be covered.
The next day I found myself working three different jobs, but all for the school of dentistry.
My morning starts off with working reception and cash at the dentistry clinic. Then I head up to the technical services lab for my four hours, then I proceed back downstairs to finish my day working reception and cash.
Having my day broken up like that really makes the day go by fast.
Having not worked full time since August, I find myself really tired and the end of the day, and my weekends have been spent doing a whole lot of nothing. However, I’m starting to get used to it again, so hopefully my life will become a bit more exciting again.
I have finally found a fitness routine that actually works for me. I will have a blog post coming in a month or so to talk about this. I’m still early in my journey, so need to share just yet.
I am still loving every day of my life in New Zealand, I have absolutely no complaints, and I am actually soon going to start the process to extend my visa. This is where I am meant to be. This is where I have been the happiest I’ve ever been. My anxiety has been the best it’s ever been, and I am just generally so happy.
This was just a quick update, but I promise I have lots planned, and new things will be coming soon.
As always, thank you for your support.
