Hey, mom and dad. I’m finally moving out. Out of the province actually. Actually out of Canada altogether. I am in fact moving to the other side of the world. To the beautiful country of…
For those of you who know me, this may come as no surprise since I was supposed to be living there since this past January. But things happen and plans change.
If you read my last blog post (What I have been up to – Summer Update) then you already know that I quit my job. At first, when I quit my job, I quit with the intent of just finding another job. I needed a change. I was looking at jobs all over Canada, I was prepared to move away from home.
Then I got to thinking. My passion is travel. My passion for travel started in 2011 when I got back from living in the South of France as a nanny. While my time in France wasn’t the most memorable of times, it’s what really started my love for travel. I loved the idea of new and different cultures.
I’m at an age where I don’t need to be working a job I don’t really like. I’m at an age where I have disposable income(to an extent). I have a few bills a month, but besides that, I don’t pay rent, and I essentially don’t really have anything keeping me here in Halifax.
I leave on December 2nd, which is in exactly 103 days. That keeps me here long enough to enjoy my favorite season and to spend three months doing anything and everything with my friends and family. It gives me enough time to come up with some sort of a plan.
Over the next three months, I will be blogging about how I am preparing for my year long move to New Zealand.
