Let me start off by saying, it’s been a little while since I have written a blog post. Almost 8 weeks to be exact.
But I have an explanation.
First of all this summer has been very busy for me. I have been really enjoying myself, and I have been spending a lot of time with friends. I will talk more about this below.
If you are a fan of my blog and have been checking back regularly, you may have noticed that my site has been down for the last few weeks. While I am not entirely sure what happened, or how it happened, I am very grateful for my friend Chris who was able to fix it for me.
Now let’s dive right in!
What have I been up to since my last post which was posted on June 28th? Oddly enough my last post was actually my summer bucket list. I just quickly looked at my list and it looks like I still have a lot to do before the summer is over.
*Side note: A couple of things on my summer bucket list, I now have plans to do them in the fall.
July was a pretty busy month for me. The first part of July was spent working, and working out. I would go from work to the gym and I would do on average two fitness classes a night. I was really enjoying the routine I had given myself in June and the first part of July. It was working for me, and I was starting to see results.
It also included seeing Deadmau5 perform live (for free) on Canada Day.
It included a week of doing things on my own and meeting like minded people. This included an Instagram meet up organized by Sean McMullen, Dave Culligan‘s 365 Short Film, and Be Human‘s and Run Wild Child‘s “Sweat and Connect” Event.
One of my favorite days so far this summer was the night that Emily and I spontaneously decided to go to a local beach for sunset. We brought snacks, started a fire and had a beautiful sunset.
Then came the second half of July and I was completely off my schedule.
My friend Taylor and I road tripped to Bangor, Maine.
We shopped till we dropped, and we attended one of the best concerts of my life. Sam Hunt sure knows how to put on a show!
We went to Old Orchard Beach!
Upon returning from Maine, I went directly to Ryan Bowness’ Stanly Cup Party, then the next day I was off to PEI for Maritime NHL’ers for kids.
As soon as I got home from PEI, I was working with the Tall Ships.
It’s been a busy couple of months, to say the least, but I have been having so much fun. On top of everything? I quit my job. I will talk more about that in my next post!
Here are a few more photos from my summer so far.
