It seems as though everyone around me, from my friends to bloggers or YouTubers that I watch are all becoming vegetarian or vegan. While some may say it’s just another fad, veganism is actually good for the planet.
I’m not going to sit here and list all of the reasons why you should become vegetarian or vegan because at the end of the day it is your own personal choice.
But if you read my blog, then you know that one of my May Goals was to become vegetarian. And if you read my last post, then you will know that I actually ended up following pescatarianism and that I am planning on sticking to it.
Now I didn’t eat a lot of meat, to begin with. I did, however, eat a lot of chicken. I would have chicken multiple times a week. In the summertime, during BBQ season I would typically eat hamburgers and sausages and bacon, and still eat chicken.
For those of you that don’t know I still live at home, and for the most part, most of my meals are cooked for me. So my mom actually made most of my meals, and a lot of times I wasn’t even home to snap a picture of the meals, as I was then eating it out of a container later that night.
She did capture some pictures so I do have some to share. Going forward one of my June Goals is to cook more. So I am going to find new recipes that I will share with you, along with pictures.
There wasn’t a single time during the month of May that I struggled with what to eat. Especially with allowing myself to eat fish, made it extremely easy when I would go out for dinner with friends. The one thing I do need to work on, especially now that I am counting macros, is to get more protein.
In the meantime here are some pictures of what I ate this month.
